Authority

Authority started as a student project in the Inkwell Interactive Studio at Southern New Hampshire University. The prototype created by myself and 4 others won a two-week game jam which allowed the game to be worked on for two semesters in the studio. After many of the members graduated, this project is still in development and set to be released on Steam.

My role was to create many of the major systems including the character controller, interaction system, player combination, and the entire 2D boss level. This level needed new player controllers, a designed level, and a boss AI. Along with my programming and design tasks, I also created the main theme for this song that can be heard in the main menu of the game.

Project Dimensions Prototype

This new prototype is very early in its creation and still in the planning phase. The premise of this project is to be a game that is played in both 3D and 2D where the player can freely switch perspectives at any moment. This ability to switch perspectives will be used to solve puzzles and progress. By the end of the prototype, there should be a playable level with the working major mechanics all able to be used.

Unity Character Controller Package

One of my passions is creating prototypes of games and bringing the ideas I have to life. The thought behind this project of creating a character controller package that can be easily tweaked with many features such as interactions, and inventory is to create a more streamlined process of making my prototypes. This allows me to have a basic player controller in any project I start that I understand and know how to change to the specific prototype’s needs.

Music

One of my other major passions besides game development is music. I am working on my first finished music project, as well as hoping to get around to more music for Authority.
